Custom Starlink Mounts Built for Montana Conditions
2/24/2026
At Lone Pine Technology, we don’t believe in “close enough” when it comes to Starlink installations—especially here in the Flathead Valley. The photos shown here highlight one of our custom powder-coated beam mounts, designed to securely support a Starlink antenna along with additional equipment such as outdoor WiFi access points, wireless bridge units, security cameras, and more.

This type of setup allows Starlink to provide fast, reliable internet, while an outdoor access point blankets large areas with WiFi and bridge units “shoot” internet between buildings. When combined with a mesh WiFi system, the result can be a single seamless network across your entire property, or separate networks if preferred. Bridge units require a fairly clear line of sight, while access points are designed to soak an area with strong WiFi coverage. Proper placement is critical—Starlink antennas must be mounted above obstructions with a full 360° view and roughly 32° of elevation to perform at their best.
We bring over 25 years of satellite installation experience, having worked with systems like DirecWay, HughesNet, ViaSat, iDirect, DirecTV, and DISH Network. Today, we focus on Starlink and HughesNet installations, along with cameras, access points, wireless bridges, and mesh networks. We’re proud to say we’ve never had to return to a site due to an installation-related failure. We build mounts and use accessories designed to last decades, and every install is clean, neat, and professional—no sloppy cabling, no loose wiring, and no shortcuts.
Starlink is truly a game changer in Northwest Montana, including Kalispell, Whitefish, Bigfork, and the surrounding Flathead Valley. Outside of limited fiber availability, nothing else currently comes close in speed or reliability—certainly not legacy DSL options. Unfortunately, we still see poorly installed systems mounted too low, facing the wrong direction, or placed where heavy snow becomes a real issue. We don’t need to put other companies down—we simply believe in doing it right the first time.
If you’re considering Starlink, we recommend starting with a Starlink Site Survey, which we require before bidding an installation. You’re welcome to perform the survey yourself or have someone else do it—we’re still happy to offer guidance if you need help. You can access the form here:

Or contact us if you have any questions!
As a bonus, our customers may also have access to loaner Starlink systems (availability permitting), and we carry Starlink accessories including mounts, pipe adapters, cables, WiFi extenders, and more. If you want Starlink installed professionally and built to last in Montana conditions, we’d be glad to help.
